Here are few more images of Migration, thousands of families from both sides cross the border in 1947 and faced hardships! most of them lost their lives.
Thank you dear Sheraz, I may not like your smoking habit but I love to read your articles and see your work.
You have done a great favour to all those who have some interest in history especially of Pak-India (Note: I prefer to write it this way instead of Indo-Pak).
Since you have these pix and maybe thousands more in your access, it was imperative for you to get them out of the dusty archives.
Allah Karim fill every moment of your life with His special blessings forever.
Going to put your link to my blog http://thinksucceeded.blogspot.com.

This blighted dawn , this darkened sun. This is not the morning we waited for.We went forth in the desert of heaven, hoping to reach our destination of stars. We hoped that, somewhere, we would come ashore from the placid river of the night, that the barge of sorrow would end its cruise. Whence came the early morning breeze, where did it go? The wayside lamp does not know. The night's burden has not diminished, the hour of deliverance for eye and heart has not arrived. Face forward! For our destination is not yet in sight.

The photos are just fantastic and looking at them, we can experience the very pain of the partition. I appreciate all your efforts in streghtening the Indo-Pak peace efforts.
And we yet yearn for peace and prosperity, bluntly ignoring the plight of those countless innocents who had to face hardships and inhuman brutalities, and of those many who had to die only because they did not want to leave their places of birth and youth! The fact that Partition remains one of the single biggest massacres in modern human history, and is counted in the category listing Nazi massacre of Jews only tells us the reason why this region shall never find peace. Those people did not die in vain. The vibes of their wailing when forced out of their rightful abodes, and pleading when confronted by hooligans and murderers while fleeing only to no avail shall forever haunt this once peaceful land. This is a fact. This land stands cursed. Those brutalities shall have to be paid back in kind. Blood for Blood- must have their curse been!!! So while innocents from both sides had shed blood then, it is us who continue to do so even today, suffering from the one big wrong in the history of mankind- communal segregation! Let's make a point- Peace shall never see light here, until every drop of their blood is accounted for!
